On the morning of August 18, the 6th National Plant Pathology Teaching Symposium was held at Xinjiang Agricultural University, sponsored by the Teaching Professional Committee of the Chinese Phytopathology Society and hosted by Xinjiang Agricultural University, Shihezi University and Tarim University. Professor Qi Qungao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Xinjiang Agricultural University, Professor Han Chenggui, Chairman of the Chinese Phytopathology Society, Professor Wu Xuehong of China Agricultural University, Director of the Teaching Committee of the Chinese Phytopathology Society, Professor Zhao Sifeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Agricultural College of Shihezi University, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office of Tarim University Professor Chang Zhu Tiansheng attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. 94 plant pathology experts, scholars and young teachers from 33 agricultural and forestry universities across the country attended the meeting.

Professor Hu Xiaoping was invited to give an expert report at the conference entitled "High-Quality Development of Plant Protection-Education and Talent Training".

With the theme of "Innovating Plant Pathology Teaching and Cultivating Comprehensive Intelligent Talents", this seminar implements the fundamental task of cultivating people with moral integrity and faces the forefront of the development of plant pathology education. The participants conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions focusing on plant pathology education concepts, teaching method innovation, and teaching achievement display. They shared wisdom and experience and collided with sparks of ideas, which laid a solid foundation for promoting the high-quality development of plant pathology education and teaching.
