The research team participated in the China Xinjiang-Central Asia Agricultural Biosecurity and Plant Protection New Quality Productivity Development Forum

In order to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges between China and Central Asia in the field of plant protection science and technology, and improve the level of comprehensive management and control of agricultural pests in Central Asia. From August 17th to 20th, China’s Xinjiang-Central Asia Agricultural Biosecurity and Plant Protection New Quality Productivity Development Forum opened in Urumqi. Mr. Deng Mingjiang, member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, chairman of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Association for Science and Technology, and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was invited to attend the opening ceremony. Academicians Chen Jianping, Song Baoan and Kang Zhensheng of the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered speeches on "Reshaping of Plant Protection Science and Technology Innovation System and Application of Information Technology" respectively. Academic reports on "Accelerating the Development of Green Pesticides to Cultivate New Productivity" and "Wheat Stripe Rust and Food Security"; foreign experts from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and other countries shared the latest research on comprehensive prevention and control of agricultural pests Results.

Professor Hu Xiaoping and Associate Professor Li Yuxiang of this research group participated in this academic conference. Professor Hu Xiaoping gave a conference theme report titled "The Source Center and Transmission Path of Wheat Stripe Rust in China" in the "Plant Pathology Theme Report".

This forum focuses on the new issues and challenges faced by China and Central Asia in the field of plant protection science and technology. It focuses on in-depth exchanges and discussions on new plant protection technologies, new methods, and new equipment that are in line with regional characteristic industries, and showcases new quality plant protection innovation results. The forum set up four themed report sub-venues: "Plant Pathology", "Agricultural Insects", "Invasion of Alien Organisms" and "New Plant Protection Productivity". A total of more than 300 domestic and foreign experts and scholars exchanged and discussed cutting-edge technologies in the field of plant protection.
